Dear Townhall.com,
I have been a regular reader of your site for over 10 years now. I really appreciate you providing a format for so many conservative writers to provide me with great information and thought provoking information over the years.
A while back I even stared adding my two cents in the comment section of articles that were particularly interesting to me. I really love the ability to interact and exchange ideas here. I'm grateful that you provide the opportunity for me to do that.
Unfortunately I'm sad to say that lately the luster is wearing a little thin. You see there is something that I feel you ought to know.
Profit is Good
Please know that I am an entrepreneur at hart. I've started and now run my own business. I am a big fan of making money. And I am all in favor of you profiting from this wonderful web property you've worked so hard to build over the years.
Not only that, but I am truly grateful that I've been able to access all this great content for so long. For free.
Too Noisy
That being said, these days it's getting a little hard to hear your authors over the background noise. The pixels of great content is getting harder and harder to see.
The ads are getting overwhelming.
Between the animated gifs, pop-ups, slide downs, peel downs, hover ads and background ads, visiting Townhall.com these days is a bit like getting an ebomb from Justin Long in that last Die Hard movie.
Other Options
Perhaps you cold offer up some other alternatives. Maybe it's time for a "Townhall Premium" account or something. You could make it "ad light". Possibly cut out any and all ads with motion to make the pages load quicker for those of us willing to give you a little money directly.
That would be worth it to me. As it is I'm visiting your site less and less these days. It's just too frustrating to get to the content.
Oh, and as long as I'm on the subject, I dream of the day you offer a "Platinum Package" that cuts out some of the more inane commenters too.
I'm just saying.
